Welcome to Cimarron Creek

We opened our doors in 1990. Our goals are the same as when we opened. Great products and Great service. We use what we sell, so we know if it works. We fish where we send you to fish, so we know what we're talking about. Adventure and Flyfishing go together when you fish the Gunnison River and Black canyon. From the tame to the extreme, its all there! The clothes we carry are functional and comfortable. Check us out. Book a trip. Ask us about equipment. Call about fishing the Cimarron, San Miguel, or Gunnison River. Come visit us and say hi; our central location makes for easy access to many surrounding areas. No snooty employees, just great information! Give us a call today with any questions or send us an email.

May...maybe.

May is a great time to fish the reservoirs and certain tailwaters. The weather has stayed cooler, so the flows have stayed relatively normal on the Uncompahgre. It's moving fast but clear above Cow Creek. The Gunnison is brown/green and tough to fish. Get out your float tube and fins and start preparing to float!

Now is the time to start planning your spring and summer trips!

It's time to get out the maps, dust off and clean up the gear and start planning your trips. Whether you are going backpacking, fly fishing or boating, give us a call to help you get what you need and go where it is best.

North Fork of the Gunnison Too High to Cross

The North Fork of the Gunny is rippin and will continue to do so for some time, depending on the weather. For more info go to the WaterWatch state flows on our links page. Never fear, there is a back road to get above the Forks. Give us a call for directions.
